What makes this balm different from your original Tinted Tallow Balm?

Our Zinc Tinted Tallow Balm is made with 20% non-nano zinc oxide, giving it a naturally soft, velvety finish while still feeling nourishing and breathable on the skin.

Like all Honey products, it is completely waterless and handcrafted in small batches using grass-fed tallow, nourishing botanical oils, and naturally derived mineral pigments.

What is non-nano zinc oxide?

Non-nano zinc oxide is a naturally occurring mineral that sits on the surface of the skin rather than being absorbed. It has been used in skincare for generations because of its gentle nature and is especially appreciated by those with sensitive or reactive skin.

We chose a premium non-whitening, non-nano zinc oxide that blends beautifully into the skin while maintaining a lightweight feel.

Will it leave a white cast?

No. We specifically formulated this balm using a transparent, cosmetic-grade non-nano zinc oxide that minimizes the traditional white cast associated with many zinc products.

Combined with carefully balanced mineral pigments, each of our six shades blends seamlessly into the skin to create a natural-looking complexion with minimal whitening.

Is this more like skincare or makeup?

Think of it as nourishing skincare with beautiful mineral coverage. The rich tallow base conditions and moisturizes the skin while naturally derived mineral pigments help even the appearance of your complexion.

The finish is lightweight enough for everyday wear but can be layered anywhere you'd like additional coverage.

Our Zinc Tinted Tallow Balm offers light-to-medium, buildable coverage.

One thin layer creates a naturally even, "your skin but better" finish, while additional layers provide more coverage without feeling heavy or cakey. The mineral pigments help blur the appearance of redness and uneven skin tone while allowing your natural skin to shine through.

While water can hydrate and plump the skin, combining it with other ingredients in products requires preservatives and emulsifiers, which can disrupt your skin’s natural microbiome.

We believe in ingredient minimalism, using only what your skin truly needs. For best results, spritz your face with water or a hydrosol and let it absorb before applying your product. You’ll get the same hydrating benefits, without the unnecessary additives.

100% Grass-fed Suet Tallow

We use 100% grass fed and finished tallow suet, the nutrient-dense fat from around the kidneys, prized for its purity and rich texture.

Sourced directly from a family farm in New Jersey, our tallow is dry rendered and triple filtered in a USDA-inspected, cGMP-audited facility. No deodorizers, bleach, citric acid, BHT, or dimethylpolysiloxane. Just pure, clean nourishing tallow, nothing more.
